Renovating a wooden Zaan house
A wooden house moves with the weather. We therefore insulate vapour-open, check the timber structure for moisture and rot, and use paint suited to wood and façades. Natural insulation material also yields €250 extra subsidy in Zaanstad.
Rules when renovating in Zaandam
Zaanstad heeft bijna 600 rijks-, provinciale en municipal monuments, en daarnaast vele houten Zaanse huizen. Kerkbuurt (Westzaan), Gortershoek (Zaandijk) en Haaldersbroek (Zaandam) zijn rijksbeschermd dorpsgezicht. De regels staan in het omgevingsplan en de welstandsnota.
