Alex and his team completed a total renovation of our 30s house in Duivendrecht during the second half of 2025. Aside from the floors, kitchen and some built-in cabinets and furniture, his team handled the entire renovation.
Communication. Alex was very responsive, often getting back to my texts within 10 minutes. He came to the site quite often, at least twice per week, to explain what was happening that week and ask for my input. On the few occasions that something wasn’t done the way we wanted, he accepted the feedback with grace, passed it on to his workers, and it was promptly corrected. Probably the biggest challenge we had was that the workers themselves were not all proficient in English, so we needed to use translation tools, but we were generally able to communicate with one another.
Quality. Overall we were greatly pleased with the quality of the work. Alex and his team clearly have very high standards. This is all the more impressive given the speed at which the guys work. We were especially impressed by the result of our master bathroom, with floor and wall tiling, beton cire, and intricate lighting effects. I was also satisfied with their ability to adapt and make changes where needed.
Price. I felt like the price was fair, given just how extensive the renovation was. It was considerably higher than what Alex initially quoted, but the scope of work also grew significantly in the course of the project. Alex periodically provided invoices detailing the work that had been done and the work remaining, so it wasn’t a shock as the price tag grew over the course of the project.
Overall, I would strongly recommend Alex and TopRenovatie for any project in your home, and I look forward to working with them again in the future.
